Founded 1965…

IAEA stands for International Agricultural Exchange Association…

The association was founded in 1965 on the initiative of the Dane Hans H. Kristensen. and since then the idea has spread to 20 countries.

28.000 young people throughout the World…

The exchange program »AgriVenture« is run by IAEA from servicing offices in six countries with the head office placed in Denmark.
Over the years IAEA has arranged trips for over 28.000 young people.

Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Japan…

From the UK you can go to Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.

Land on your feet…

We will take care of all the practical aspects of the trip, from tickets, work permits and insurance even down to providing a flight bag for your hand luggage.
You will stay with AgriVenture host families who are carefully selected and approved.
Working with them on a farm or horticultural enterprise, they will offer a friendly, family welcome, providing accommodation, help with training, a standard allowance - and time off for holiday.

With you every step of the way…

Wherever you go in the world, with AgriVenture you won't be alone. Once your application is confirmed, you will be welcomed to the scheme at an introductory meeting. Your trip will be arranged so that you will travel with a group of fellow participants from around the world and you will all be welcomed in your host country at a special Orientation Seminar.
You will also be allocated an AgriVenture contact - usually a past trainee - who will ensure that both you and your host family are happy with the placement. They will be on hand to help solve any problems you may have. If needs be, an alternative host family can be arranged with the
approval of the IAEA.
