AgriVenture Programmes…

All AgriVenture programmes have been carefully put together after years of experience in providing a trip of a lifetime with lifelong benefits for many thousands of young people around the world.
Wherever your chosen destination takes you, you'll find an instant network of both fellow participants from around the world and local contacts who will give you the opportunity, not only to work abroad,
but also sample some of the real country culture which you would never see as a tourist.
As an AgriVenture participant you'll not only experience travel, work and excitement on your programme, it will leave you with an unforgettable experience and friendships that money can't buy.

If your plans do not fit in with our departure times or length of trip - call us anyway.

You'll go far…

Canada…

Great opportunities in Canada. Farms with both large and smaller cropping areas, and you can combine this with livestock work including beef, dairy, pigs.  February can still be quite cold out in Canada, so you need to be prepared to do livestock work at this time of year.  Horticultural work and some Home Management work available too.

  • 9 months to Canada, expected departure mid February.

  • 7 or 9 months to Canada, expected departure early April.

In order to give even more trainees the opportunity to experience this magnificent, beautiful and exciting country, the Canadian hosting association have decided to substantially reduce prices for everyone deciding to go to Canada on the AgriVenture programme.

USA…

February departure is for people wanting to work with livestock including beef and dairy. If you want to work on a cropping farm – think about departing in April or June where there are great opportunities available.  If you are interested in the Custom Harvest, then the April departure is the one to go for.  Horticultural placements available in April and June.

  • 9 months to USA, expected departure mid February.

  • 7 months to USA, expected departure early April.

  • 5˝ months to USA, expected departure mid June.

New Zealand…

A big welcome awaits you in New Zealand – placements available on both north and south island.  Learn about their famous dairy industry – it is different to the UK – try it out!  Great sheep and beef placements and some fantastic weather and scenery to go with it.  If you want a cropping placement – look at the October departure.  Dairy placements available all year round.  Horticultural placements available August and October.

  • 10 months to New Zealand, expected departure early March.

  • Flex-programme (4 - 12 months) to New Zealand, expected departure early March.

  • 7 months to New Zealand, expected departure mid May.

  • 9 months to New Zealand, expected departure mid July.

  • 8 months to New Zealand, expected departure early August.
     

  • 6˝ or 12 months to New Zealand, expected departure early October.

  • Flex-programme (4 - 12 months) to New Zealand, expected departure early November.

Australia…

A big country with a big heart – you will be welcomed to Australia to work on some great farms.  April placements on mixed cropping/sheep farms.  If you are looking at dairy work – then why not go out to Victoria in August.  Working on a beef farm requires the ability to ride a horse.  September is the time to go out – leave the UK autumn/winter behind and work a summer season in Australia.   Horticultural programmes are available on the August/September departures.

    early March.

  • 9 months to Australia, expected departure mid April.

  • 8 months to Australia, expected departure early August.

  • 7, 9 or 11˝ months to Australia, expected departure mid September.

  • Flex-programme (4-11˝ months) to Australia, expected departure
    early November.

Japan…

For a different experience – try Japan – you will be made so welcome and see agriculture and horticulture in a totally different setting.  Work with dairy, pigs and beef and learn about their major crop – rice.  Horticultural opportunities available too.

  • 4, 8 or 12 months to Japan, expected departure mid March.

Pacific Ocean…

  • 14 months in New Zealand and Australia, expected departure for New Zealand early August. To Australia expected April.

Around the World…

  • 14 months in Australia and Canada, expected departure for Australia mid September. To Canada expected April.
     

  • 13˝ months in New Zealand and Canada, expected departure for New Zealand early October. To Canada expected April.
